# Ma

## Was es ist
Ma (馬, Jyutping: *maa5*) bedeutet „Pferd“ bzw. Stand. Im Wing Chun ist Ma die Kategorie der Bein- und Körperstände: frontal, gedreht, mit innerem oder äußerem Bogen — immer mit dem Ziel, stabile Struktur und bewegliche Wurzel zu verbinden.

## Einordnung
Ohne sauberes Ma bleibt jede Armtechnik instabil. In der IAW-Terminologie ist Ma eine eigene Alphabet-Kategorie neben Sao Fat und Gerk Fat.
